Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, and all major credit cards. Credit card payments are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
Q: Do you install pools?
A: No, we don’t install pools or work on pool systems, but we can build pool decks and fences around existing pools.
Q: Are you a general contractor?
A: No. AW Construction is a licensed home improvement contractor (HICL) in Tennessee, handling jobs up to $25,000.
Q: What is a home improvement contractor’s license?
A: In Tennessee, a HICL allows a contractor to legally perform home repairs, remodeling, and improvement work.
Q: Do you handle new construction or home additions?
A: Yes. We specialize in new construction, small additions, and structural projects including framing (new and old work), decks, and porches.
Q: Can you help with the site preparation and concrete?
A: We sure can. We offer excavation services, jobsite coordination, and concrete work, including both form-and-finish for new projects and repairs for existing concrete.
Q: Do you offer interior remodeling services?
A: Yes. We handle the entire remodeling process from demolition and structural reconfiguration to the final finishing touches.
Q: What kind of interior finishing work do you do?
A: We provide a full suite of finishing services, including:
  • Walls: Drywall hanging, finishing, repairs, and professional interior painting.
  • Carpentry: Trim carpentry and cabinet installation.
  • Flooring: Installation of LVP, hardwood, laminate, linoleum, and tile.
  • Insulation: Fiberglass insulation (both batts and blow-in).
Q: Can you install or replace windows and doors?
A: Yes, we offer installation for new builds as well as replacement and repairs for existing homes.
Q: Do you do roofing?
A: We install asphalt shingle and metal roofing. However, we are not a dedicated roofing company and are not insured for high-altitude roofing work. We perform roof installs and repairs that are accessible from a safe height, such as porch overhangs or shed roofs.
Q: Do you offer siding services?
A: Yes. We provide installation and repairs for both vinyl siding and fiber cement siding.
Q: Can you install new fixtures like lights, fans, or faucets?
A: Yes. We install a wide variety of fixtures, including faucets, garbage disposals, toilets, lights, and ceiling fans.
Q: Are you licensed for plumbing and electrical work?
A: AW Construction is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Home Improvement Contractor. However, we are not licensed plumbers or electricians. We handle fixture replacements and minor non-trade tasks that do not require a specialized trade license.
Q: Do you handle small “punch-list” items?
A: Absolutely. We are happy to take on punch-lists and minor maintenance tasks to help get your project 100% complete.
Q: Can you help me plan my project?
A: Yes. We offer project management services, including blueprint reading, creating material lists, and overall jobsite coordination.
